Vedic Gems

Gemstones are gifts from nature which accumulate a great deal of power and subtle energy during their extensive time in the earth. They have strong energetic fields which emit vibration unaltered by modern life (EMF for example), connecting with and altering the wearer on the subtle, vibratory level, aligning and harmonising the wearer with higher cosmic energy and the frequency of nature itself. Each gem has a role to play in creating balance, harmony, enhancing/activating gifts, drawing in and holding cosmic power and offsetting/enhancing planetary influences.

Gems can emit both positive and negative energy, either energising or draining the wearer. All of Nature’s greatest gifts are intended for the highest use only, and there is deep Vedic wisdom as to how gemstones should be treated, how their power can be unlocked/purified and then used for the benefit of the wearer and the collective, and on the subtle level, the importance of the stone’s own intention - whether it wishes to work for the benefit of mankind. The Maori people of New Zealand also hold this wisdom - that the energy of a piece of greenstone, pounamu (NZ jade) can have negative effects for the wearer if the stone was taken by force, or not for whom it was intended.

Vedic gems are rare, high grade, fully certified gemstones, sourced in India but may have been mined elsewhere, which hold the highest energy and intention. Our gemstones are ethically sourced and we have direct relationships with gemstone experts in India who accept only stones with the highest energy and potency, which are completely natural and untreated.

We are able to provide recommendations as to which stone will be most supportive for you. Some examples of how gemstones are used astrologically:

• Emeralds: draw in the energy of Mercury, are associated with health, strengthens the nervous system & self expression & creative expression through speech & writing. Are recommended for Gemini and Virgo rising, both ruled by Mercury, who have more sensitive nervous systems. Will enhance the strength of their overall chart, enhance their natural abilities and gifts and strengthen health & the nervous system.

• Red Coral: strengthens the energy of Mars. Recommended for those who have debilitated Mars in their astrological chart - strengthens courage, drive, stamina and passion. Also recommended in some cases for Pisces, Leo, Sagittarius & Cancer rising - will strengthen their 5th or 9th houses -houses associated with creative expression, children, legacy, grace, flow, wisdom and good fortune. Should not be worn where Mars is already strong/not debilitated.

• Yellow Sapphire - draws in and enhances the energy of Jupiter. Increases access to abundance, grounded joy, removing obstacles to progress. Often recommended for Pisces and Sagittarius rising, but also for Cancer, Leo, Scorpio and Aries in some cases.

• Pearl - increases moon energy, balances & supports the mind and emotions (which are ruled by the moon). All can wear pearl, strongly recommended for Cancer rising (ruled by Moon) or anyone with weak or sensitive moon in the chart & some other placements.

• Ruby - enhances Sun energy. Not recommended where sun is strong, and generally only for Leo and Aries rising.

• Blue Sapphire - strengthens the energy of Saturn. Only recommended in specific cases & only where the wearer is spiritually advanced.

It is not recommended to strengthen challenging houses, which is why not all stones suit all people.

They may be worn as jewellery, used in engagement rings, or as gifts, or they may come with a recommendation to be worn in a ring on a specific finger (if being used for planetary purposes).
